Mitch Beddow

Director of Operations

Mitch Beddow began his career in the HVAC hygiene industry at just 17 years old, working for the largest HVAC hygiene company in Australia. This early exposure to large-scale commercial and industrial HVAC projects laid the foundation for his technical expertise and passion for the industry.

At age 21, Mitch co-founded Efficient Hygiene Services (EHS) alongside long-time friend and current Managing Director, Luke Ellis. What began as a small operation has grown into one of Queensland’s leading HVAC hygiene and indoor air quality companies, now employing a team of 32 highly trained professionals across the state.

With a strong focus on business development, project management, and technical excellence, Mitch has played a key role in shaping EHS into a high-performing organisation trusted by hospitals, major retailers, government facilities, defence, and commercial clients across Australia.

Mitch holds industry-leading certifications including NADCA ASCS (Air Systems Cleaning Specialist), NADCA VSMR (Ventilation System Mold Remediator), and IICRC WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician). He has also developed EHS’s internal training platform, which sets the benchmark for technician competency, safety, and quality standards within the company.

With extensive hands-on experience, unwavering dedication to tasks, and a deep commitment to industry best practice, Mitch continues to drive EHS forward—ensuring every project is delivered with the highest levels of compliance, safety, and technical integrity.

Luke Ellis

Managing Director

NADCA ASCS, NADCA VSMR, IICRC WRT

Luke Ellis co-founded Efficient Hygiene Services (EHS) at the age of 21 alongside his best mate and business partner, Mitch Beddow. Together, they transformed EHS from a small start-up into one of Queensland’s most trusted HVAC hygiene and indoor air quality companies, now employing a team of 32 staff across the state.

Luke holds extensive experience in the HVAC hygiene industry and brings a strong operational, financial, and organisational skill set to the business. Luke holds industry-leading certifications including NADCA ASCS (Air Systems Cleaning Specialist), NADCA VSMR (Ventilation System Mold Remediator), and IICRC WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician).—Luke’s primary focus within EHS is on business structure, staff management, financial oversight, and organisational performance.

He plays a pivotal role in workforce planning, internal communication, and ensuring that EHS maintains a strong, scalable, and compliant operational framework as the company continues to grow. Luke’s leadership style is centred on clarity, consistency, and supporting the success of every team member within the business.

With a passion for building a resilient, future-focused organisation, Luke ensures that EHS runs efficiently behind and infront of the scenes—managing financial systems, refining business processes, and nurturing a positive workplace culture that empowers technicians and management alike.

Wayne Vela

Business Development Manager

Mechanical Engineering Background | 30+ Years HVAC Industry Experience

Wayne Vela is EHS’s industry veteran and sales leader, bringing more than 30 years of HVAC, mechanical services, and indoor air quality experience to the team. With an extensive background as a Mechanical Engineer and decades spent working with multiple leading competitors across Australia, Wayne has developed a deep, practical understanding of HVAC system design, performance, and hygiene requirements.

Since joining EHS, Wayne has quickly become a key driver of business growth and client acquisition. Within his first 12 months, he secured several major contracts across commercial, retail, government, healthcare, and industrial sectors—significantly contributing to EHS’s expansion and ongoing success.

As Business Development Manager, Wayne leverages his technical expertise and industry credibility to support clients in identifying risks, understanding compliance obligations, and selecting the correct HVAC hygiene solutions for their facilities. His ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and professionally has made him a trusted advisor to both new and long-term clients.

Wayne’s dedication, experience, and strategic approach place him as a core stakeholder within EHS. His industry insights and strong relationship-building ability continue to strengthen the company’s reputation and position within the HVAC hygiene, mould remediation, and corrosion protection sectors.

Jake Thompson

Account Manager & Team Leader

Jake Thompson is a highly skilled Account Manager and Team Leader at EHS, known for his strong technical capability, leadership, and dedication to delivering exceptional client outcomes. Holding NADCA ASCS, NADCA VSMR, IICRC WRT, and IICRC AMRT certifications, Jake brings a deep and practical understanding of HVAC hygiene, mould remediation, and indoor environmental management to the organisation.

Jake has successfully led some of EHS’s largest and most complex projects across commercial, healthcare, government, and industrial sectors. His ability to coordinate technicians, manage site logistics, and ensure compliance with industry standards has consistently resulted in high-quality outcomes and strong client satisfaction.

Jake’s performance and leadership in the field ultimately led to his promotion into the Account Manager role, where he now oversees several of EHS’s key accounts. He is responsible for managing client relationships, preparing quotations, coordinating project requirements, and ensuring that EHS delivers on expectations for every engagement.

Known for his reliability, communication skills, and technical knowledge, Jake plays a crucial role in maintaining EHS’s reputation for professionalism and quality. His combined experience in project leadership and account management makes him an integral contributor to the ongoing growth and success of the business.

Sean Edwards

Project Manager & QLD Leading Hand

NADCA ASCS | IICRC WRT | IICRC AMRT

Sean Edwards is a highly experienced Project Manager and Queensland Leading Hand at Efficient Hygiene Services (EHS). Known for his strong technical capability, problem-solving skills, and calm leadership style, Sean plays a critical role in delivering some of EHS’s largest and most complex projects across the state.

Holding NADCA ASCS, IICRC WRT, and IICRC AMRT certifications, Sean has an advanced understanding of HVAC hygiene, mould remediation, moisture management, and indoor environmental restoration. His ability to plan, coordinate, and manage high-risk or technically challenging jobs ensures that EHS meets compliance requirements and consistently delivers industry-leading outcomes.

As a Leading Hand, Sean is deeply involved in the training and development of EHS technicians. He guides new and existing staff through rigorous, hands-on technical training to ensure every team member meets the company’s high standards for quality, safety, and professionalism. His mentorship has contributed significantly to building a strong, knowledgeable, and reliable workforce.

Jo Rogers

Reporting Manager & WSHE Representative

Jo Rogers is the Reporting Manager and WSHE (Workplace Safety, Health & Environment)

Representative at Efficient Hygiene Services (EHS). With exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, Jo plays a critical role in ensuring every project is finalised with high-quality documentation, compliance oversight, and industry-leading safety standards.

Jo oversees all job completion reports, inductions, and safety management systems across EHS. Her ability to compile clear, comprehensive, and timely reports has become a key part of EHS’s reputation for professionalism. Many clients specifically commend EHS for the quality of its reporting—and this is a direct reflection of Jo’s consistency, precision, and drive to meet client expectations.

Natalya Ellis

Financial Controller

Natalya Ellis is the Financial Controller at Efficient Hygiene Services (EHS), overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the company maintains strong, accurate, and reliable financial systems. With exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail, Natalya manages the full financial workflow of the business, including purchase order processing, invoicing, accounts management, and financial reporting.

Natalya plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operations by ensuring suppliers, clients, and internal teams receive timely and precise financial communication. Her structured approach to managing financial data and documentation ensures EHS remains compliant, efficient, and protected through every stage of the project lifecycle.

Ashleigh Spencer

Scheduling Manager

Ashleigh Spencer is the Scheduling Manager at Efficient Hygiene Services (EHS), responsible for coordinating the day-to-day scheduling requirements that keep the company’s operations running smoothly. With strong organisational skills and a proactive communication style, Ashleigh manages technician allocation, project timelines, and workflow coordination across all EHS service lines.

Ashleigh plays a crucial role in ensuring that every job—whether HVAC hygiene, mould remediation, corrosion treatment, or commercial cleaning—is scheduled efficiently and aligns with client expectations, site access requirements, technician availability, and operational priorities. The 2 technicians that completed the air conditioning deep cleans at my child care centre were outstanding. We have had many other companies complete our air con cleaning but none are as good as Efficient Hygiene Services.! We won’t trust anyone else. Our air cons are running more efficient and smell amazing.
